About Obstetrics and Gynecology

The Obstetrics and Gynecology Department at Al-Makassed Hospital is staffed by four consultants, twelve resident doctors, five interns, twelve medical students, fourteen midwives, fourteen other nurses, and a dedicated administrative manager for the department.

The obstetrics unit in the department includes thirty-three beds to serve patients before and after childbirth, as well as to serve patients suffering from various gynecological diseases. As for the maternity department, it is equipped with five fully equipped rooms such as an ultrasound device, a fetal monitoring device, breathing units, and an emergency unit. There are also three beds to monitor patients in the early stages of pregnancy. The Obstetrics and Gynecology Department at Al-Makassed Hospital conducts four major operation lists weekly.
