The Orthopedic Department at Al-Makassed Hospital is well-known throughout Palestine for its services, which include:
1- All types of bone-related injuries
2- Pediatric orthopedic surgery
3- Joint replacement
4- Arthroscopic joint surgery
5- Spine surgery
6- Orthopedic surgery using the Alzarov technique

The Orthopedic Department plays an important role in educating medical students at the Faculty of Medicine at Al-Quds University as well as in training doctors enrolled in the specialty program sponsored by the hospital in order to obtain the Jordanian and Palestinian Medical Council certificate. Sixteen doctors have trained in the Orthopedic Department and obtained the specialty certificate from the Jordanian and Palestinian Medical Councils and are now working in hospitals in the West Bank and Gaza Strip. The Orthopedic Department at the hospital includes two important branches: plastic surgery and maxillofacial surgery.
The Orthopedic Department, which has thirty beds, is staffed by three consultants specializing in orthopedic surgery and two assistants specializing in orthopedic surgery, in addition to five resident doctors.

1- Dr. Rustum Al-Nimri, Consultant Orthopedic Surgeon, Head of the Orthopedic Department and General Manager of the Hospital.
2- Dr. Salem Abu Rmeileh, Head of the Surgery Departments at the Hospital.
